Accountant
Role description
Responsible for creating, managing, administering, and updating payroll processes, taxes, social contributions, and for creating and developing the finance department.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.
- At least 4 years of proven experience in accounting, with an emphasis on payroll, taxes, and social contributions.
- Strong knowledge of tax and labor laws.
- Proficiency in accounting software and payroll management systems (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, etc.).
- Ability to prepare and analyze detailed financial reports.
- Capacity to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review employee payrolls, ensuring compliance with labor and tax regulations.
- Manage and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns.
- Calculate and pay social contributions and mandatory contributions.
- Prepare financial and payroll reports for senior management.
- Keep the company’s accounting and financial records up to date.
- Coordinate internal and external audits related to payroll and taxes.
- Advise the company on best tax practices and cost optimization.
- Supervise and train the accounting and payroll department staff.
- Stay updated on changes in tax and labor legislation.
